About the event
Aaron Foster recently workshopped his show "I Thought I Was Special" at the Hollywood Fringe Festival throughout June to a number of incredibly positive reviews. It's autobiographical standup/storytelling about my own experiences with depression and anxiety and a few other things. Here's the description I used for Fringe: "It’s mostly jokes… mostly. Growing up with a bipolar father and a schizophrenic older brother left Aaron Foster with a combination of survivor’s guilt, depression and anxiety that has invalidated his every accomplishment, destroyed his every relationship and invaded his every waking thought. A comedy!" Foster is the former host of HGTV’s FreeStyle and has performed stand up at The Comedy Store, The IMPROV, The Ice House, The Ha Ha, The Comedy Chateau, Flappers as well runs his own usually sold out theater shows in Reno, Nevada. Some of his main influences are Mike Birbiglia, Maria Bamford, Gary Gulman, Marc Maron, Taylor Tomlinson, Stephen Banks, and Neal Brennan.
